A subscription to an email list works like a subscription
to a magazine. A user will receive messages from all lists to which
they have subscribed, just as a subscriber to a magazine receives
issues for each of his or her magazine subscriptions. Christian
eMail Service subscriber accounts are entirely free-- you will receive
no charges for using this service. Subscriber accounts are entirely
optional-- as a subscriber, you may join or unsubscribe from any
list at any time, or maintain or delete your account at your discretion.
A user may subscribe to a list several ways. If
you know the alias of the list you wish to subscribe to, you may
do so via email by sending a message to listalias_admin@christianemailservice.com
with the word "Subscribe" in the subject line, where listalias
is replaced by the alias of the list you wish to join. You should
then receive an email message from the list requesting that you
confirm your subscription. Simply reply to this email to confirm.
If you do not reply, you will not be subscribed to the list. Once
your subscription is confirmed, you will receive a welcome message
from the list.
If you know the owner of the list, or someone
who is already subscribed to the list, you may request that he or
she invite you to join the list. Once the ListOwner or Subscriber
invites you, you will receive an email request to confirm your subscription.
Once you have replied to this email and confirmed your subscription,
you will receive a welcome message, indicating your subscription
is verified.
If the list has a join box, simply enter your
email address into the join box and click on the Subscribe
Now button. You will be taken to a page which displays
the list's name and description. Click the Continue
button to receive your email confirmation message. Reply to this
email message to confirm your subscription, and once your confirmation
is received, you will be sent a message to welcome you to the list.
You can review all of your subscriptions by logging
on with your subscriber account and going to your Subscriber
Controls page. At the top of your controls page, you
will see a table which lists all of your subscriptions. For detailed
information on a subscription, click on the list's name in the table
to view the Subscription Information page. You will see the alias,
name and description of the list to which you have subscribed, along
with the date your subscription was confirmed.
If you know the email address of one or more friends
or associates who would like to join a list to which you are subscribed,
you can send them subscription invitations. Simply click the Invite
a Friend button on your Subscription Information page,
and enter in the email address(es) into the form fields provided
on the Invite page. Click the Invite
button to submit these email addresses. An invitation will be sent
to each of them shortly. An invitation will not automatically subscribe
anyone to a list. The recipient of the invitation must reply to
the invitation message via email in order to confirm the subscription.
Once you have sent out invitations, click on the link which states
"return to the page that referred you" to go back to your
Subscriber Controls page, or simply click the Subscribers
tab in the navigation banner at the top of the page.
If you no longer wish to subscribe to a particular
email list, you may unsubscribe yourself by clicking on the link
from your Subscriber Controls Page. The Unsubscribe Page will
display a list of your current subscriptions. Choose the list from
which you'd like to unsubscribe by clicking the radio button next
to the name of the list, the clicking the Unsubscribe
button.
You can manage and update your account information
by logging on to the site at http://www.ChristianEmailService.com/subscriber/,
or clicking the Subscribers tab from the home page. Here you may
change your personal information, email address, or password, or
delete your account. For detailed information on each of these user
controls, view our User Controls help
page.
If you already have a subscriber account, you
are automatically entitled to a Christian eMail Service ListOwner
account as well. If you would like to start an email list of your
own, simply Log On to
the ListOwner's Control page to view your ListOwner account information.
