What is an Announcement List?
This type of email list simply broadcasts messages
to its subscribers. Subscribers cannot send messages back to the
entire list, although they can email the ListOwner.
What is a Discussion List?
This type of list allows for two-way communication.
The list's owner and its subscribers can send messages to the entire
list.
What does "Web Subscriptions Only" mean?
This type of list prevents a user from subscribing
to the list via email. The user must a) receive an invitation to
the list from the ListOwner, b) receive an invitation to the list
from a subscriber, or c) they may subscribe to the list if it has
a join box. By choosing this option, ListOwners can encourage new
users to enter demographic information upon subscribing to a list.
How can I manage my subscriptions through email?
Unsubscribing from a list is now easier than ever.
Simply send an email message to the list with the word "unsubscribe"
in the message subject line. If you ever would like to subscribe
to the list again, send a message to the list with the word "subscribe"
in the subject line. This feature saves you the time it takes to
log on to the web to manage your subscriptions.
Can I change the name of my list?
In our original release of the Christian eMail
Service, once you chose a list's name, it was permanent. You can
now update your list's name on the Edit List Properties page.
Why do some of my messages no longer show up for a list?
This feature only affects ListOwners with more
than one list. We have changed the way messages are viewed. Each
message you create is now linked to the list you were managing when
you created it. For example, if you own two lists, A and B, and
you created a new message for List A, in our original release, you
could view the new message whether managing List A or List B. In
our new release, messages are list-specific. If you create a message
while managing List A, you can only send it to List A. |
